Helping our Police K9 Officers in Prescott Arizona! - Ann H
I have been working with Findlay Subaru of Prescott for many years now and I must say, they are the MOST amazing dealership I have ever worked with and I have worked with many over the years. My most recent and important experience has been helping our Police K9 Officers as they are soley funded by the community! They have stepped up several times in the last couple of years but most recently, for our K9 Fun Fest at Espire Sports. If not for them, we would not have been able to raise the $7,500 donated to the K9's. This money will help them in several ways including, Veterinary Care, Training and more. They were the Platinum Sponsor of our event and gave sooo much including cash, Silent Auction prizes and giveaways. They also did another event for them a couple of years ago where they donated $100 per car they sold in the month of October which was $9,1000! They help our community in so many ways all the time. We, like many other businesses and non-profits are so grateful that they are in our community! They are incredible people and always ready to give to their community and so wonderful to work with. They make us better and we would do anything to help them and always promote them to our community in any way we can! LOVE THEM!
Apollo Fire Orchastra! - Sabrina R
My 11 year old daughter started orchestra this year and plays the bass. I wanted her to be able to experience what options she had in life if she decided to stay on this path. However, I am a single mom of two children, my oldest who is 14 is special needs. It is hard to be able to afford any "wants" and typically I can only afford bills with not much left over. I had scraped together enough to be able to take my daughter to one not so pricey performance for another Orchestra, where we saw the Findlay Subaru table and inquired what it was about. After meeting Kara Hartman and just chit chatting about why we were at the performance that night, and told her how we had hoped to attend more performances, depending on prices, Kara offered us free tickets to the next performance that I had really hoped to attend which was Apollo Fire. My daughter lit up and was so excited! The seats that Kara gave us were 4th row seat tickets, which were more then I could have even hoped for. The evening was amazing seeing these performers with period instruments (from the 1800s) and being able to see the different instruments we never knew existed. My daughter spoke to one of the performers after the concert and was able to ask questions about the different instruments and how they were all played. It was a priceless experience not just for her but for me as well. Thank you so much for making it possible for me to show my daughter more of the performing arts world and what possibilities that are available.
Partnership Helping Veterans! - Brian S
Prescott Valley American Legion Post #140 was fortunate to find a great partner in Findlay Subaru Prescott (FSP) when it came to the radical idea of conducting a car raffle to raise funds for veterans’ services. Such an approach had never been attempted in the Quad-City region before. So, representatives of both Post #140 and FSP worked together to blaze a new trail in the field of fund raising. Jason Jenkins (FSP’s General Manager) provided the green light to begin the journey while Kara Hartman (FSP’s Marketing Director) developed the marketing strategy and actions that led to a successful project. In addition, Jenkins provided opportunities for car displays and encouraged members of the FSP team to advertise the raffle at various automotive events in which the Grand Prize Award car (2025 Subaru Forester) was displayed during a six-month period. Press releases, radio spots, advertising posters, flyers, and more were implemented to raise public awareness for the raffle and its intended goal. In a final push at the end of the raffle, Jenkins and Hartman were instrumental in Post #140 putting the car raffle proceeds over the top. As a result, the raffle car was awarded to a deserving family from Flagstaff and Post #140 was able to donate proceeds from the raffle to the following veterans’ organizations: Missing in America Project The purpose of the MIA Project is to locate, identify and inter the unclaimed cremated remains of American veterans through the joint efforts of private, state and federal organizations. Arizona Dept of Veterans Services – Military Family Relief Fund The Military Family Relief Fund (MFRF) provides funds that help Veterans, service members, and their families who are currently facing unforeseen expenses or financial hardships. U.S. Vets U.S. Vets is a charity that seeks to prevent and end veteran homelessness by empowering veterans and families through the provision of housing, comprehensive services, and advocacy. U.S. Dept of Veterans Affairs – Domiciliary (DOM) The Domiciliary Care Program is the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides state-of-the-art, high-quality residential rehabilitation and treatment services for Veterans with multiple and severe medical conditions, mental illness, addiction, or psychosocial deficits. Findlay Subaru Prescott’s sponsorship and participation in the 2024 car raffle was in keeping with their commitment to community and charity involvement since their founding in 2017. The dealership serves as a model commercial enterprise for community and veteran support that other businesses would do well to emulate.
Giving Kids Hope in Prescott! - Jon B
Findlay Subaru has been our Title Sponsor for the past two years for our Annual Golf Tournament in Prescott. Through their generous sponsorship, we are not only able to put on the event, but we are able to use the funds to give more middle school and high school kids hope. In today's world teenagers are searching for something to give them life. Unfortunately, there has been a rising number of anxious and lonely teenagers since 2020 and COVID that isolated and separated. Kids get lost behind their online platforms and their phones instead of actually connecting with real people. We are a faith based organization and we believe that teenagers have the right to have an adult show up in their life and connect kids with the chance to process who Jesus is and who He can be in a teens life. In Young Life, we want to know kids' names first and earn the right to be heard. Right now, at our 2 Prescott clubs we know 163 middle school kids by name and 181 high school kids by name. It is our goal to keep growing those numbers because each number is an adolescent that we get to do life with! So Findlay Subaru funds help us to show up at the middle school with donuts that allow us that opportunity to say hi to a kid when they are feeling down and remember their name. You are sponsoring the fun club events put on weekly that involve silly songs and games with leaders doing life with teens and a message that points kids to joy and hope which for us is found in Jesus. You are sponsoring our staff and leaders to continue to do an incredible job of encouraging other leaders, taking kids out to lunch, and meeting with parents and even other adults in the community to help us to keep engaging with adolescents. In closing, Findlay Subaru isn't just our Title Sponsor, they are an incredible partner, helping us make a tremendous impact in local kids' lives. Thank You!
Rooted in History: A Love Promise Story! - Bob E
The Natural History Institute connects people to the natural world through experiences that foster a deeper understanding and appreciation. Our Rooted: the Peoples of the Southwest series explores the rich history of human interaction with the landscapes of the Southwest. "Before the Rooted: the Peoples of the Southwest excursion to Walnut Creek, I viewed this land as simply beautiful scenery. I had no idea about the deep history woven into every rock and every stream. Professor Ellis brought the past to life, showing me how the ancestral Pueblo people lived and thrived in this very place. Now, every time I drive around the Mogollon Highlands, I see more than just a pretty view. I see a legacy – a reminder that these people never truly left. Their connection to this land continues to inspire me. This experience has profoundly shifted my perspective. I'm grateful to Findlay Subaru Prescott for supporting initiatives like this, which help us better understand and appreciate the rich history of our community." Findlay Subaru Prescott has generously supported several lectures and field experiences in the Rooted series, demonstrating their commitment to enriching our community through education and cultural awareness. Their support allows the Natural History Institute to continue offering these valuable programs and inspire a deeper connection to the natural world and its history.
